How Do I create buttons on AmebaOwnd

So creating buttons that link to external URL’s or pages within your AmebaOwnd website is a fairly common function of really any website so let’s show you how to do that.

On Desktop

Step One

Select the button block

From the desktop view, navigate to either a new page, or one of your selecting pages, and then that page will display and you’ll have the blocks on the left that will display different elements you can add to your page. Today we’re discussing adding buttons. Click the button and then drag it to the place where you’d like to put it on your page.

Step Two

Customize Your Button

Sizes (サイズ)

Buttons come in three different sizes, much like clothes LMFAO: Small, Medium and Large.

Layout (レイアウト)

Choose whether you’d like to align the button to the left, right, or center.

Text (テキスト)

Write the label for the button your creating.

Link Destination (リンク先)

(Page Within Your Site)     サイト内ページ

So here your going to select whether the button is going to take you to a page within your website  from there you can select a page within your website from the drop down menu.

(External URL)

If your choosing to have the button go to an external URL upon being clicked type out that URL in the box in its full form, so include https://example.com

New Window (新規ウィンドウ)

Do you want the page that’s opening when clicking the button to open in a new window rather then just going there directly? Click this option to make that happen.

On Mobile

Step One

From within a page just click the circle with a + in the middle and select button.
You’ll then be shown the same options as you would on desktop, except that they’re in English so I’m assuming you understand what to do from here if you understand this post lol.

Q&A

Can I create buttons in posts?
No Gurl don’t get crazy. You can create buttons on pages only, both from within the mobile app and on the desktop web version of AmebaOwnd.com

Can I create multi-column rows with buttons?
Totally. To do that just do the same as this guide and when your placing the buttons just click the same row as you’ve placed the first once. Insure that your using the S size when placing them in the row otherwise they’re going to overlap and that’ll look like shit. Also make sure your viewing the page in both mobile and desktop view because sometimes the way the buttons will look on mobile devices is probably not what you intended.
Can I link to a certain post with a button?
That you can also do. Just copy the URL of that post you want to link to and paste it into the URL field when you’re creating the button.
