How Do I change my AmebaOwnd title and description?

How to change the title, meta-description, keywords and other aspects of SEO on your AmebaOwnd

Okay so this is a fairly straight forward process on how to change the title, and description of your AmebaOwnd website. There are a couple things to keep in mind if you want to maximize the SEO of your website within the capabilities and limitations of Amebaownd.

So here is a shortened snippet of the HTML code for my AmebaOwnd, the homepage.

<!doctype html>
            <html lang="ja" data-reactroot="" data-reactid="1" data-react-checksum="195074846"><head data-reactid="2"><meta charset="UTF-8" data-reactid="3"/><meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge" data-reactid="4"/><meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width,user-scalable=no,initial-scale=1.0,minimum-scale=1.0,maximum-scale=1.0" data-reactid="5"/><title data-react-helmet="true" data-reactid="6">王可森 Kesen </title><link data-react-helmet="true" rel="canonical" href="" data-reactid="7"/><meta name="description" content="王可森のサイトです。台湾に住んでるのカナダ人です。作ったの歌う、写真とあと台湾と日本の文化。" data-reactid="8"/><meta name="keywords" content="ゲイ カナダ 男 音楽 文化 外国人 NEWS SOCIAL MEDIA 写真 日本語 中国語 英語" data-reactid="9"/><meta name="google-site-verification" content="BqJXGoupJ9mSrGGbzqcyPjBABa6suUglESfmEcMprZM" data-reactid="10"/><meta property="fb:app_id" content="522776621188656" data-reactid="11"/><meta property="fb:pages" content="458047554354569" data-reactid="12"/><meta property="og:url" content="" data-reactid="13"/><meta property="og:type" content="website" data-reactid="14"/><meta property="og:title" content="王可森 Kesen " data-reactid="15"/><meta property="og:description" content="王可森のサイトです。台湾に住んでるのカナダ人です。作ったの歌う、写真とあと台湾と日本の文化。" data-reactid="16"/><meta property="og:image" content="" data-reactid="17"/><meta property="og:site_name" content="王可森 Kesen " data-reactid="18"/><meta property="og:locale" content="ja_JP" data-reactid="19"/><meta name="twitter:card" content="summary" data-reactid="20"/><meta name="twitter:site" content="@amebaownd" data-reactid="21"/><meta name="twitter:creator" content="@kesenwang" data-reactid="22"/><meta name="twitter:title" content="王可森 Kesen " data-reactid="23"/><meta name="twitter:description" content="Canadian born , Asia grown. I’m going to highlight each of the fields in the SEO section of your AmebaOwnd and show you how those are represented in the source code of your website when it’s served up, so you can see visually just how that works. This works the best for me because I just need to see soemthing by example rather then just like Trust it’s working lol.

The title of your AmebaOwnd website, although these guidelines can apply to any website really. Mines just a personal blog so I just have both my Chinese name and the English Pinyin of my name in Chinese. Anyways whatever title you want your blog to be and make sure to keep it within Googles acceptable length.

150-170 Characters

Meta Descriptions give you a chance to write your website is about. The description should follow Google guidelines on length,  which always have the potential to change, which is annoying as f because a couple months back you were allowed to have a longer description and then Google cut it back again so websites that did change their meta-description then had a description that truncates in Google results, and a lot of them still do, meaning after you’ve exceeded the limit Google will just cut the description at that point. You don’t want this, so stay within the guidelines.

The amount of characters you can use for your website description as of currently is 150-170 characters.

Meta Keywords

These aren’t going to show up in your search result for your website but they are evident when viewing the source code of your website, take mine for example below. What you write in the keywords field of the SEO section of your AmebaOwnd, is going to show in the source code of your website.

Facebook App ID/Page ID

Also another way to make sure that the app ID is actually your own is by loading this URL in your browser and returning the app object.

Obviously replace the x’s with the app ID that your searching and you’ll get a Return app object.
