So the process of posting videos is extremely straightforward on both mobile and desktop. The difference is going to be that on Desktop you can literally embed using custom HTML, mobile your linking to the video.
Mobile
So for mobile we just literally copy the link to whatever we’re going to embed, and not the embed code from YouTube or Vimeo or wherever because you can’t add custom HTML from the app. If you want to do that then just use the Desktop guide below this and use a desktop app instead.
Click the link button from the tray in the browser and paste the URL of the video you want to share on your post, Press submit and then you’re done.
Desktop
So for desktop they’ve actually included a YouTube button where you can just paste in the link to embed a video, otherwise you can just use the custom HTML button to embed a video.
So click on the html button from the tray on the left, and then place it where you want on your post. Literally drop to that place lol.
Then you’re going to paste in the embed code from what you’re embedding. This can literally be anything, a Youtube or Vimeo video, a SoundCloud embed etc etc.
Soundcloud: Go to your the track or the album you want to embed and click the share icon, and you’ll see a window pop up like this which lets you customize how the embed is going to look inside the iFrame.
After your done customizing the embed you’re going to copy and paste that code from Soundcloud into the HTML box you’ve inserted in your post. The code will look like this for example:
<iframe width="100%" height="300" scrolling="no" frameborder="no" allow="autoplay" src="https://w.soundcloud.com/player/?url=https%3A//api.soundcloud.com/tracks/242665313&color=%23ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&show_teaser=false&visual=true"></iframe>
We can actually modify the values of the resulting code if your posting multiple tracks and then just swap out the urls if you’re lazy like me lol.
Click okay and save your post and the embedding shall be done, it will look like this:
On the app once your embedded HTML, at the current time your not going to be able to make any changes to the embedded HTML, but you can make changes to your post or page as Normal. But if you want to change the custom HTML you need to go back into the post or page on desktop view, make the edits to the code and then save again.
